## 1. Outcome

Phase 2 produced a reproducible, installable, linted, tested, and fail-closed project foundation. The project now has stable runtime and package policies, a complete module directory skeleton, operational development tooling, compiled CSS outputs, explicit future-phase command stubs, and machine-verifiable acceptance checks.

No database, Telegram, wallet, task, payout, or authentication feature is presented as operational before its implementation phase.

## 3. Runtime decision

Official Node.js guidance recommends using Active LTS or Maintenance LTS for production. At completion time, Node 24 and Node 22 are supported LTS lines, while Node 20 is EOL. The project therefore uses:

- **Preferred:** Node.js `24.20.0` LTS.
- **Compatibility:** Node.js `22.13.0` or newer within the Node 22 line.
- **Rejected:** EOL or non-LTS lines.

The lower boundary is also compatible with the selected ESLint 10 engine requirement. `.nvmrc`, `.node-version`, `package.json`, the runtime verifier, tests, and README all encode the same policy.

## 4. Dependency strategy

### Direct production dependencies

| Package | Version | Purpose |
| --------- | ------: | ----------------------------------------- |
| `express` | `5.2.1` | Agreed web/API framework for later phases |
| `ejs` | `6.0.1` | Agreed server-rendered application shells |

### Direct development dependencies

| Package | Version | Purpose |
| ------------------------ | --------: | --------------------------------------- |
| `@eslint/js` | `10.0.1` | Official base JavaScript lint rules |
| `eslint` | `10.9.1` | Static analysis |
| `eslint-config-prettier` | `10.1.8` | Prevent formatter/linter rule conflicts |
| `globals` | `17.12.0` | Node/browser global definitions |
| `prettier` | `3.9.6` | Deterministic formatting |
| `tailwindcss` | `4.3.3` | Utility CSS generation |
| `@tailwindcss/postcss` | `4.3.3` | Official Tailwind PostCSS integration |
| `postcss` | `8.5.27` | CSS processing |
| `postcss-cli` | `11.0.1` | Framework-independent CSS build command |
| `cssnano` | `8.0.10` | Production CSS minification |

All direct versions are exact. `package-lock.json` pins the complete dependency graph. Deployment uses `npm ci`; package updates must be deliberate and followed by the full quality gate and audit.

Tailwind's official PostCSS integration pattern is used: the Tailwind PostCSS plugin plus a CSS `@import`. Reference: [Tailwind CSS PostCSS installation](https://tailwindcss.com/docs/installation/using-postcss).

ESLint uses the current flat `eslint.config.js` format. Reference: [ESLint configuration files](https://eslint.org/docs/latest/use/configure/configuration-files).

## 5. Project structure

The machine-readable structure contract lives in `scripts/project-layout.js`.

Verified areas:

- Web, worker, scheduler, bot, configuration, and bootstrap boundaries.
- Core database, cache, queue, security, errors, logging, response, and utility layers.
- HTTP routes, middleware, and controllers.
- All Phase 1 business modules.
- Mini App and Admin browser asset trees.
- Migrations, seeds, schema documentation, storage, tests, and operational documentation.
- Nginx, Cloudflare, Docker, systemd, and cPanel deployment directories.

Only Phase 2-owned files contain implementations. Later-phase directories remain empty or retain only repository markers. This avoids misleading placeholder controllers and prevents future code from inheriting guessed behavior.

---

## 6. Entry-point behavior

| Entry/command | Required phase | Current result |
| -------------------------------- | -------------: | ----------------------------------------------------------- |
| `server.js` | 5 | Structured error, exit status 1 |
| `worker.js` | 16 | Structured error, exit status 1 |
| `scheduler.js` | 16 | Structured error, exit status 1 |
| `bin/migrate.js` | 4 | Structured error, exit status 1 |
| `bin/rollback.js` | 4 | Structured error, exit status 1 |
| `bin/seed.js` | 4 | Structured error, exit status 1 |
| `bin/create-super-admin.js` | 8 | Structured error, exit status 1 |
| `bin/set-telegram-webhook.js` | 7 | Structured error, exit status 1 |
| `bin/remove-telegram-webhook.js` | 7 | Structured error, exit status 1 |
| `bin/health-check.js` | 5 | Structured error, exit status 1 |
| `bin/verify-environment.js` | 2 | Operational runtime report, exit status 0 on supported Node |

This is intentionally fail-closed: an incomplete server cannot bind a port or pass a health check.

## 7. CSS foundation

### Source

- `resources/css/miniapp.css`
- `resources/css/admin.css`
- `resources/css/themes.css`
- `resources/css/components.css`

### Compiled output

| Output | Size at verification |
| -------------------------------- | -------------------: |
| `public/miniapp/css/app.min.css` | 7,999 bytes |
| `public/admin/css/admin.min.css` | 7,880 bytes |

The shared foundation includes:

- Light/dark CSS variables.
- Bangla-compatible local/system font stack.
- Telegram safe-area variables.
- Accessible focus styles.
- Reduced-motion behavior.
- Initial premium surface/gradient tokens without pretending the Phase 18/19 UI is complete.
- Local compiled assets, avoiding a production dependency on a runtime CSS CDN.

---

## 8. Verification evidence

### Full quality gate

`npm run check` completed successfully in this order:

1. ESLint with zero warnings allowed.
2. Prettier formatting check.
3. Node automated tests.
4. Mini App and Admin CSS production builds.
5. Project structure and metadata verification.

### Automated tests

```text
tests:      5
passed:     5
failed:     0
cancelled:  0
skipped:    0
```

Covered behavior:

- All approved directories exist.
- Package metadata and all required npm scripts are present.
- Direct dependency versions are exact.
- Supported Node LTS lines are accepted; unsupported lines are rejected.
- Web entry point fails explicitly until Phase 5.
- No real `.env` exists in Phase 2.

### Installation and audit

| Check | Result |
| ------------------------ | ----------------------: |
| `npm install` | Pass |
| lockfile version | 3 |
| lockfile package records | 290 |
| `npm ci --dry-run` | Pass |
| full dependency audit | 0 known vulnerabilities |
| production-only audit | 0 known vulnerabilities |
| environment verifier | Pass |

Audit results describe the registry state at the verification time and must be repeated before deployment.

## 9. Repository and secret hygiene

The repository rules exclude:

- Real environment files and key material.
- Dependency folders and local npm state.
- Runtime logs and process identifiers.
- Uploads, quarantine files, exports, and backups.
- Coverage, reports, temporary files, and local archives.
- Editor and operating-system metadata.

Compiled CSS is intentionally included because a cPanel deployment may not offer a build step. Storage directory markers are retained, while runtime contents remain ignored.

---

## 10. Deliberate Phase 3 deferrals

The following do not belong in Phase 2 and have not been faked:

- `.env.example` and strict environment schema.
- Application, database, Telegram, session, Redis, queue, security, upload, and logger configuration modules.
- Secret placeholder detection.
- Production-origin and proxy validation.
- MySQL/Redis capability checks.

`bin/verify-environment.js` currently validates only the Phase 2 runtime contract and says clearly that environment schema validation is deferred.

---

## 11. Known non-project warning

The execution host emits an npm warning about a legacy `http-proxy` environment configuration. It does not come from this project's `.npmrc`, does not affect the completed checks, and is not packaged as project configuration. Hosting environment proxy variables should be reviewed separately if the warning appears during deployment.

---

## 12. Phase 3 handoff contract

Phase 3 may begin without restructuring Phase 2. It should:

1. Add `.env.example` with safe placeholders only.
2. Add a strict central environment parser.
3. Reject missing, malformed, example, or insecure production values.
4. Create typed configuration modules for every Phase 1 deployment-owned group.
5. Add configuration redaction for diagnostics.
6. Extend `bin/verify-environment.js` to validate full production readiness without printing secrets.
7. Add unit tests for parsing, defaults, placeholder rejection, origin validation, and redaction.
8. Preserve the LTS runtime, exact-package, fail-closed, and no-secret rules established here.

**Phase 2 status: COMPLETE AND VERIFIED.**
